The Boy’s Dorm is one of first three buildings constructed on campus, along with the Lucas Wellness Center and the Dining Hall.
While there are no renewable energy systems currently associated with the dorm, the building was constructed with passive cooling in mind, with the windows on the east facing side of the building catching the prevailing winds that blow across the sound. The Boy’s Dorm has two solar thermal hot water heaters.
This dormitory contains one of the 2 water pump closets for the main campus which contributes to high intermittent usage. The dorm sits on 15000 gallon cistern.
